On this historic occasion marking 50 years of Benue State, I extend my warmest congratulations to the Executive Governor, Rev. Fr. Dr. Hyacinth Iormen Alia, the government, and the resilient people of Benue State.

Fifty years is a remarkable milestone—one that tells a story of courage, endurance, and collective aspiration. From its creation, Benue State has stood tall as the Food Basket of the Nation, richly blessed with fertile land, diverse cultures, and a people known for their hard work, hospitality, and unwavering commitment to peace and progress.

As we celebrate this golden jubilee, we honour the sacrifices of our founding fathers, the contributions of past leaders, and the strength of our citizens whose resilience continues to shape the destiny of our dear state. This anniversary is not only a time for reflection, but also a call to renew our commitment to unity, good governance, inclusive development, and sustainable peace.

May the next chapter of Benue State be marked by greater prosperity, security, innovation, and opportunities for all—especially our youths and future generations.
